Are Bathroom Remodel Leads Down in August 2026?
July finished strong across every region, and August's slower start is tracking exactly with the season — not a real dip. Here's the full picture, plus a showroom campaign worth testing while summer winds down.
Where July ended:
Every region finished positive versus June on the lead count front:
South — up 27%
Midwest — up 25%
Northeast — up 10%
West — up 8%
How August has started:
August's opened slower across all regions. Worth keeping an eye on, but it lines up with this time of year — the last stretch of summer, with families traveling or shifting attention toward the school year ahead.
The encouraging part: volume's shown signs of picking up this week. Worth watching over the next couple of weeks rather than reading too much into either the dip or the recovery just yet.
Worth testing a modest shift toward 55+ and empty-nester audiences, since they're usually less affected by that seasonal pull.
One thing to test — a showroom campaign:
A client ran this recently: a family fun day at their showroom — food, prizes, games for the kids, and plenty of time for families to walk through and check out their shower displays.
Total cost was around $3,000 — $1,000 on catering, $2,000 on a Facebook ads campaign promoting the event, with the call to action being event sign-up. Demo/no-sale leads from the last 90 days were also emailed and invited.
The results:
$3,000 spent
78 sign-ups, with a good number showing up
8 appointments set
8 demos
3 sold — $57,200 in revenue
Total marketing cost: 5.2%
Simple campaign, real numbers — it works because showroom leads convert best.
